Iloilo City welcomes Namsadang Baudeogi Pungmuldan Troupe from Anseong City, South Korea

The Namsadang Baudeogi Pungmuldan Troupe from Anseong City, Korea performed at SM City Iloilo during the Dinagyang Festival giving Ilonggos as glimpse of the colorful Korean music and dance culture.
The Anseong delegation visited Iloilo City last year to establish friendly cooperation agreement which has opened mutual exchanges.  Anseong is Iloilo's "sister city" and is also called “City of Masters” and promotes itself as a “City of Culture and Arts” home to brassware crafts.

And two days later for the first time in the history of the Dinagyang Festival, spectators were treated to a performance Baudeogi Festival during the Sunday highlight which was the Ati Tribe Competition.

The dance troupe was formed in an effort to preserve the tradition in Anseong, the home to Namsadang. Its performance provides an opportunity for everyone to better understand Korean culture through Namsadangnori.
The performance by a group from the Baudeogi Festival is a result of the signing of a Friendly City relation between the Anseong City and Iloilo City last year. In October last year, the Iloilo City sent its Dinagyang Festival to perform at the Anseong Baudeogi Festival.
